The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 43245 had shown up at San Blokko for the match. Reinhard Hummel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leopold Mihaľák and Robbert-Jan Price. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Het Blok. I.W.W.S.B.I had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players took the field: Popadić - Bukowski, Pavić, van der Steege, Swart - Gonda, Wortelboer, Okken, Husterer - Cabrales, Sanz La Losa.

Het Blok demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, H. Verver got himself booked. The manager of Het Blok was not happy. J. Feiken hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Het Blok's M. Daňo an easy chance to knock it in for 1 - 0. Coming in from the right, I.W.W.S.B.I had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 37 minutes, but F. Cabrales's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Het Blok put in a good effort on the right, but C. Juliaans saw his volley fly wide of the mark 38 minutes into the game. After 40 minutes, G. Breijs sent the corner kick right to H. Verver who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 0! A bit later, I.W.W.S.B.I's F. Cabrales easily reduced the lead to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Het Blok claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

Het Blok's J. Feiken got himself booked for a foul. Perseverence paid off for I.W.W.S.B.I, as their F. Cabrales equalised making it 2 - 2 with a fabulous free kick. With the match clock at 63 minutes, Het Blok modified their style of play a little bit. Priding himself in being an active coach, the Het Blok manager gave new instructions to his players after 63 minutes. After 63 minutes, the Het Blok coach had a quick word about the tactical set-up and decided to try another approach. Down the middle came R. Sanz La Losa, making a fantastic play that nearly had I.W.W.S.B.I take the lead after 69 minutes, but D. Knapkiewicz preserved the tie. C. Zaydan of Het Blok received a yellow card after 70 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

J. Feiken performed admirably for Het Blok. C. Zaydan was a disappointment, however. The most dominating I.W.W.S.B.I player was without a doubt F. Cabrales. A. Swart turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
