12000 spectators had come to FC Goaltjesdief Arena this cloudy day. Jakob Sinding was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Enrico Diaz and Patoruzú Clare. Goaltjesdief had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Kruiter - Paulides, Dasberg, Duin, Potter - Derks, Melssen, Geerts, Clement - van Sloten, Pinxteren.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Poekieblanca. Starters: Syfrig - Todhri, Walas, Ravestein - Köb, Machowicz, Pustka, Nemere, Anđelinić - Amjad, Stettmeier.

A. Köb came close to putting the visiting team one up 20 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but S. Kruiter managed to tip the ball to a corner. With 22 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. A. Amjad put the ball away for 0 - 1. 23 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as O. Stettmeier finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 29 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Goaltjesdief found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. F. Pustka received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 32 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Poekieblanca fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The visitors' F. Pustka took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 33 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Poekieblanca. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Possession in this half belonged to Poekieblanca, who controlled the ball 88 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped Goaltjesdief get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. F. Pustka of Poekieblanca took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 59 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. At that, F. Pustka was noted down for a hat trick! The players of Poekieblanca now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 61 minutes into the game, Goaltjesdief seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. A drive down the left side allowed F. Machowicz to get in close and score another goal for Poekieblanca after 82 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. B. Duin of Goaltjesdief received a yellow card after 83 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. J. van Kas was called on to replace Poekieblanca's A. Amjad after 86 minutes following a nasty collision. A. Anđelinić could have put his team up another goal 87 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. 88 minutes into the game, Goaltjesdief had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. Some fine movement on the left led to a Poekieblanca goal after 88 minutes, making it 0 - 7. R. Ravestein was noted down as the scorer. Poekieblanca had most of the ball, with 91 percent of possession.

The most dominating Goaltjesdief player was without a doubt Y. Geerts. On the other hand, S. Kruiter's play was disheartening. Poekieblanca's best player was O. Stettmeier. J. van Kas turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
