Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 17 minutes, drumsticks did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, N. Bertrem was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as drumsticks scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Avellaneda after 32 minutes. 33 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as F. Classens broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for drumsticks. 34 minutes in, Ajax09's R. Nguyen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The away team improved the scoreline to 3 - 1, as C. Gutmannsbauer struck home, set up well by a play on the left 37 minutes into the match. The sun seemed to put A. Foles in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of drumsticks to 4 - 1 as F. Classens finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Confident in their lead, drumsticks's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. It was 4 - 1 at the break. drumsticks enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

After 58 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by N. Bertrem might have resulted in another goal for drumsticks. However, A. Kishon made a spectacular save. O. Moskjær's curling free kick almost found the goal for drumsticks, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs S. Miadzielec found it hard to get back into position. A great save by keeper A. Kishon after 78 minutes kept the visitors in the game after T. van Assendelft struck from the left with a real cannonball. With 79 minutes played, C. Gutmannsbauer of Ajax09 fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. drumsticks claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

drumsticks's best player was N. Bertrem. B. Solčan was a disappointment, however. Most important Ajax09 player was H. du Breuil. A. Kishon on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 1.
