Golden were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. 3 minutes into the game, Savadeli had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. Golden created a good opportunity to score 4 minutes into the match when G. Łobacz's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile S. Skretteberg. The referee showed Savadeli's M. Cox the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A. Serafino was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Golden's S. Fiala had to come off the bench. S. The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Savadeli had solid organisation. After 66 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Savadeli found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. S. Mullens didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. 83 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Golden to take the lead after a good cross from the right found J. Järvinen alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. A. Högl was called on to replace Golden's S. Fiala after 87 minutes following a nasty collision. A well placed corner kick from S. Short was followed by J. Honig's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Golden, the score now 1 - 0. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Savadeli's Q. Valken was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 88 minutes. R. Wellinga was given a chance to change things around. After 89 minutes Golden's J. Coalla limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Golden enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

S. Skretteberg performed admirably for Golden. S. Short on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Savadeli player was without a doubt R. Wellinga. M. Cox was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
