With the clock showing 33 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Green resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by G. Mastenbroek in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. It was obvious that team Green had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as A. Coalla tried lifting the ball over keeper S. Casla. Against a lesser team, FCDeGekste could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 66 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Green had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. With 69 minutes played, FCDeGekste put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was M. Hengeveld.
