V-crew 1 - 3 Fikkie (390279526)

33116 spectators arrived at V-crew Kuip Fryslan, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Fernando Pinto was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Björn Ahmaoja and Víctor Mandril. V-crew started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Borsci - van der Ban, Lamberts, Hol - Alamo, Gattai, Bortone, Møller, Palstring - Weevers, de Haas.

Fikkie had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Masin - Lunghi, Mokhtari, Szűcs - Vivanco, Goderis, Rżany, van Anraat, Tulissio - Santiago, Wahlskär.

V-crew mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. L. Wahlskär was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Fikkie counterattack from the left after 9 minutes. His neat finish made the score 0 - 1. A. Lunghi neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to J. Rżany who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. The crowd roared in delight as S. Gattai finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for V-crew 22 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. V-crew got a penalty shot 29 minutes into the game, but M. Alamo scuffed the shot slightly and D. Masin was able to block. The guests took the lead 36 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in L. Wahlskär scoring to make it 1 - 2. Fikkie's F. Szűcs got himself booked for a foul. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. V-crew had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

L. Wahlskär received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 48 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Fikkie fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. By then L. Wahlskär had scored three goals - a hat trick! The players of Fikkie now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as L. Weevers tried lifting the ball over keeper D. Masin. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Fikkie's K. Mokhtari was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 66 minutes. V-crew enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Most important V-crew player was M. de Haas. A. Møller turned in a dismal performance, however. Fikkie's top performer was clearly L. Wahlskär. D. Masin was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
