Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 31627 to Peanut Butter Jelly Stadium. Dominic Zünti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Francisco Javier Pardow and Tadek Lewański. VVPBJT decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. Making his way up the middle 6 minutes into the match, T. Benschop almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert E. Mosakowski blocked it to keep the score level. 9 minutes into the match, the speedy H. Muslim easily outpaced Y. Prakrom, chipped the keeper and made the score 0 - 1. In a rapid move 11 minutes into the match, H. Muslim of Dredevils lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked J. Stępiński who easily hit it home to make it 0 - 2. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! VVPBJT's T. Benschop cut towards the middle after 16 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 1 - 2. 30 minutes in, Dredevils's H. Muslim received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. With 33 minutes played, VVPBJT's G. Cottone found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for VVPBJT, but G. Cottone's shot went over the bar. Halftime score was 1 - 2. VVPBJT claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

G. Cottone charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for VVPBJT, but the shot went well wide of the goal. A well placed corner kick from M. Santoro was followed by R. Kinyor's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for VVPBJT, the score now 2 - 2. V. Uginović was called on to replace VVPBJT's R. Kinyor after 76 minutes following a nasty collision. Dredevils's J. Stępiński managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 79 minutes. 2 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by VVPBJT, with 62 percent of the ball.

E. Mwangonda performed admirably for VVPBJT. However, D. Minguet made a disastrous appearance. Dredevils's top performer was clearly J. Stępiński. S. Djurhuus on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
