Clouds darkened the skies at
De Goffert as 20963 spectators turned up for the match.
Sergio Insinga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mihai Minciunescu and
Henry Crombeen.
Woezik had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Vino - Sõber, Steinbrugger, Bodart - Hooyenga, Dumitrache, Cinque, Martin, Bağcan - Jäminki, Pandeiro.
Bazzeman tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Pacheco - Ianoş, Moyano, Pyykkö - Aubourg, Bracke, Bruijnes, Schoppert, Gullfeldt - Hanko, Duma.
Woezik could have put themselves ahead after 13 minutes but
F. Dumitrache missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
E. Gullfeldt was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 14 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
Woezik took the lead after 24 minutes as a result of
F. Cinque's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0.
The visitors didn't give in and, after 25 minutes,
J. Moyano got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1.
Halftime score was 1 - 1.
Possession in this half belonged to Woezik, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
K. Bağcan's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
T. Jäminki was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Woezik. 2 - 1.
Woezik solidified their lead at the 71 minute mark, as
O. Pandeiro dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1.
The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed Bazzeman's coach gave
P. Samy the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
S. Bruijnes reluctantly left the field.
O. Pandeiro unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Bazzeman's
J. Schoppert was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
77 minutes into the game, Bazzeman's attack got through on the right, but
A. Pyykkö couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms.
Woezik had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
Most important Woezik player was
F. Dumitrache.
T. Hooyenga turned in a dismal performance, however.
Bazzeman's best player was
I. Duma.
However,
A. Pyykkö made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 1.
