A well placed corner kick from S. Bonassoli was followed by C. Prieto's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Bubbie, the score now 0 - 1. After the ball was lifted in from the left, R. Eggenkamp was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 30 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Bubbie came close to extending their lead as V. Pijnenburg delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 36 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. Bubbie had to make a substitution after 40 minutes. N. Bronk limped off the field and was replaced by A. Avdyushkin. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Bubbie, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, SteinCity's T. Postema was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 59 minutes. R. Corsten was given a chance to change things around. With 65 minutes played, the SteinCity coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. S. Budding came on, E. Sapir had to leave the fray. Some things can only be learned through experience, and G. Osorio should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting SteinCity a goal with 76 minutes of the match played. After 79 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave V. Pijnenburg a chance to increase the lead for Bubbie, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. Confident in their lead, Bubbie's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 84 minutes into the match, A. Avdyushkin came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. With 88 minutes played, R. Eggenkamp nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 89 minutes into the game, M. Toorenaer had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came B. Jagerman. Bubbie had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

S. Budding performed admirably for SteinCity. F. Palafox turned in a dismal performance, however. Bubbie's top performer was clearly R. Eggenkamp. P. Dijkstra was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
