The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 23487 had shown up at WKS-Magdalenka for the match. Oliver Elmshorn was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Christophe Pourtier and Humberto Suárez. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FEYENOORD.WKS. After 30 minutes, E. Farina came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving FEYENOORD.WKS the lead. 34 minutes in, VCTorpedo's A. Kal received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. FEYENOORD.WKS's T. Hobi went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. VCTorpedo mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 37 minutes, but A. Kal was unable to convert from short range. FEYENOORD.WKS put in a good effort on the right, but A. Madaffari saw his volley fly wide of the mark 38 minutes into the game. Given a free kick close to the byline, FEYENOORD.WKS tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let S. Östby slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 0, 39 minutes into the game. VCTorpedo's C. Bazin got himself booked for a foul. The head of C. Bazin connected with a corner kick after 41 minutes, and the ball ended up with G. van Scheppingen of VCTorpedo who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 2 - 1. S. Östby could have increased the lead after 42 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. FEYENOORD.WKS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

N. Norrhall left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. A. Mazaev was the replacement. A. Mazaev was handed the FEYENOORD.WKS captain's armband. After 49 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by A. Mazaev might have resulted in another goal for FEYENOORD.WKS. However, T. Fransson made a spectacular save. 70 minutes into the game, A. Mazaev had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came E. van Veen. M. Puleo was the new captain of FEYENOORD.WKS - handed the armband by the departing player. With 76 minutes played, FEYENOORD.WKS put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to S. Östby, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. FEYENOORD.WKS's É. Souza Alves saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 78 minutes. U. Simonsson had a couple of good opportunities to reply, but the home team's keeper R. Bertozzi was simply unbeatable. K. Briers was called on to replace VCTorpedo's T. Fransson after 85 minutes following a nasty collision. FEYENOORD.WKS had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

The most dominating FEYENOORD.WKS player was without a doubt É. Souza Alves. E. van Veen turned in a dismal performance, however. VCTorpedo's best player was M. Riaza. K. Briers on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
