Maiden mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. F.C. TUA had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 22 minutes in when A. Vardi came up alone against E. Danhof who managed a block. R. Schäffer was very close to giving Maiden the lead with an ingenious free kick routine 28 minutes into the match, but the ball just grazed the bar. The terraces were silenced after 33 minutes when F.C. TUA's D. Helmer put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Maiden claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

R. Damgaard showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 47 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. Maiden took the lead 50 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as O. Tonning elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. E. Danhof's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from J. Sluiter's shot from the left 51 minutes into the match. F.C. TUA's P. Meyerhofer refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 73 minutes. Coming from the right, R. Schäffer almost managed to score another goal for Maiden, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Maiden had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Maiden's best player was D. Yera Manzano. T. Karsten on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating F.C. TUA player was without a doubt D. van der Wolf. J. Nørrevang was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
