Zengers almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. WNF had to make a substitution after 29 minutes. G. Berlijn limped off the field and was replaced by R. Wijers. Making his way up the middle 38 minutes into the match, T. Brito almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert G. Burger blocked it to keep the score level. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of DUTCH's C. Avunç after 41 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. DUTCH claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Due to some great work on the right wing WNF's K. Vakkanen was able to even the score after 60 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. DUTCH's M. Villaverde managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 62 minutes. 1 - 2. WNF's A. Masiello refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 64 minutes. 77 minutes into the game, V. Noël came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. N. Roma got a fingertip on M. Jović's shot from the left 78 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. 82 minutes in, WNF's M. Kirchner received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. DUTCH's H. Zengers went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. DUTCH had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. C. Avunç was, after 84 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper N. Roma made the save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by DUTCH, with 51 percent of the ball.

WNF's top performer was clearly M. Frijlink. However, S. Hoyt made a disastrous appearance. DUTCH's best player was J. Ceret. On the other hand, C. Avunç's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 2.
