A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 17101 to
>>>>MaSTeRCReW<<<<.
Mieczysław Rosołowski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jens Peter Spur and
Philipp Schroth.
Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this
Amsterdam derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents.
mastercrew started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Brambilla - Furiš, Vulić, Lauxmann - Krackewitz, Verweij, Szarek, Lefebvre, Pinto - Strandberg, Woudstra.
Teylingen tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
They fielded: Vargas - Wilbrink, Shevchenko, Nergaard, Mager - Starreveld, Piszko, Kuth, Witteveen - MacChoiter, Ylimaula.
mastercrew seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
Pressing was the tactic of the day for Teylingen.
mastercrew were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 3 minutes, but
J. Strandberg lofted a free kick over the crossbar.
J. Verweij gave mastercrew the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
Teylingen pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
mastercrew claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
mastercrew solidified their lead at the 47 minute mark, as
T. Krackewitz dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0.
Confident in their lead, mastercrew's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
mastercrew's
T. Lauxmann was shown a yellow card after 52 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for mastercrew, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity.
After 61 minutes mastercrew's
M. Brambilla contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
It wasn't a good day at all for
V. Ylimaula. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
mastercrew's
G. Woudstra saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 64 minutes.
mastercrew's
J. Strandberg was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 75 minutes.
mastercrew were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
After 78 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
T. Lauxmann might have resulted in another goal for mastercrew. However,
R. Vargas made a spectacular save.
P. Szarek should probably have put his team up another goal after 81 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
R. Vargas kept the visitors in the game.
Possession in this half belonged to mastercrew, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.
The most dominating mastercrew player was without a doubt
N. Vulić.
E. Pinto was a disappointment, however.
Most important Teylingen player was
M. Shevchenko.
E. Mager on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 0.
