Milinkó did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Stormvogels took the lead 37 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. N. da Silva was the scorer. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Gostomczyk from Patsertjes a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 38 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! S. Vachev came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Z. Spalević but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. With the clock showing 42 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Patsertjes resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by S. Milinkó in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Stormvogels claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

Patsertjes needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes M. Omaç made way for M. Torrisi. Stormvogels had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Patsertjes almost scored after a swift counterattack 62 minutes into the game, but R. Carré put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. H. Patalainen's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. After 72 minutes, Patsertjes switched R. Carré with M. de Liefde, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. With the scoreboard showing that 76 minutes had been played, Stormvogels nearly put themselves up another goal after R. Khramczankou came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Stormvogels's D. Markov got himself booked for a foul. In a fantastic display of determination, Patsertjes's H. Patalainen forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. R. Grenbratt didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. The home crowd cheered when, after 85 minutes, S. Vachev's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. Stormvogels enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.

Patsertjes's top performer was clearly H. Patalainen. On the other hand, K. Hautreux's play was disheartening. Most important Stormvogels player was J. Brastad. N. da Silva turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 1.
