The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 17189 had shown up at Fusion X Team Arena for the match. It was an obvious ambition of Fusion to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. F. van Hoesel looked great 20 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' I. van Heerden. The terraces were silenced after 40 minutes when Fanatics's L. Banėnas put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. B. van Bart of Fanatics received a yellow card after 41 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. J. Oltmans's lack of experience almost gave Fanatics a goal after 43 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. M. Pronin increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, I. van Heerden would have put Fanatics up another goal 44 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. The visitors' L. Banėnas took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 44 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Fanatics. By now, the players in Fanatics felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Fanatics, with 68 percent of the ball.

Fanatics increased their lead after 53 minutes when L. Banėnas broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay. This third goal completed a hattrick for L. Banėnas. Fusion's R. Mulier had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 76 minutes having been played. J. Bronneberg was the replacement. Fanatics enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.

Fusion's top performer was clearly I. Dil. W. Koolhaas on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Fanatics player was without a doubt M. Pronin. However, R. Gheorghiu made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 4.
