Due to an all-day shower, 3302 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Halenpark. Yves Colombani was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ádám Lisztes and Jarl Wandel. Lange had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Jiménez Umbral - Turella, Scheltens, Adión - Vladimirov, Valério, Di Fuccio, Fóris, Dufrat - Yersüren, Barczyk.

The wings were the focus of most of Lange's attacks today. Barghse demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 7 minutes, Lange tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. The visiting L. Ramaj was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 25 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. After 26 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Gortari a chance to increase the lead for Barghse, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. Lange had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. With 32 minutes played, S. Adión was very close to reducing the score for Lange with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. E. Lønstrup was, after 33 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper A. Jiménez Umbral made the save. A marvellous Lange effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 36 minutes by L. Di Fuccio, making the score 1 - 2. After 37 minutes, Barghse's W. Dmochowski burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 3. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Barghse, with 52 percent of the ball.

55 minutes in, Lange's L. Di Fuccio received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The visitors' W. Dmochowski took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 57 minutes into the match. 1 - 4 for Barghse. By now, the players in Barghse felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. L. Fóris of Lange received a yellow card after 67 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. J. Valério charged down the left and looked sure to score for Lange 78 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. Barghse mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 79 minutes, but A. Cărtărescu was unable to convert from short range. The unexpected cross pass from Barghse's W. Krim after 80 minutes opened up the defence and was received by C. Flicker who finished off for 1 - 5. With 85 minutes played, M. Gallmann nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Lange were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Lange's B. Yersüren found himself alone on the left side 87 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Lange had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Lange's best player was S. Adión. L. Fóris turned in a dismal performance, however. S. Peiró Amo performed admirably for Barghse. R. van de Koppel on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 5.
