The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 13100 had shown up at Theatre of Dreams for the match. Mathias Graml was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Witsanunat Kittibun and Gabriël van Walsem. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for MU_Ryan. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to F. Eckelmann, but the MU_Ryan player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! MU_Ryan's E. van Schalen increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 18 minutes. MU_Ryan's J. Stauffer got himself booked for a foul. After 29 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by J. Sisandes might have resulted in another goal for MU_Ryan. However, Ö. Erenyüz made a spectacular save. The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as B. Zegers struck home, set up well by a play on the left 30 minutes into the match. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Sisandes from MU_Ryan a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Ö. Erenyüz of Marmelades had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. E. van der Enk came in to finish the match. MU_Ryan put themselves up 3 - 1 when K. Berends broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. At this point, it was obvious that the players of MU_Ryan lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. F. Eckelmann squirmed through their central defence after 37 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. 4 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to MU_Ryan, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

J. Sisandes could have increased the lead after 47 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. J. Cuyp of MU_Ryan received a yellow card after 55 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. D. Požárek's curling free kick almost found the goal for MU_Ryan, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. The home side's K. Berends came close to extending the lead 71 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but E. van der Enk managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MU_Ryan, with 67 percent of the ball.

The most dominating MU_Ryan player was without a doubt F. Eckelmann. However, A. Benjamin made a disastrous appearance. Marmelades's top performer was clearly P. Jolink. E. van der Enk turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
