Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 2463 to De Schure. Eduardo Torrent was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lars Gripenborn and Henning Rüder. L3g3nds decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Andrijanić - Crezee, Oerlemans, Gentenaar, Baggerman - van 't Hof, Goris, van de Heuvel, de Leede - Pasveer, Loggers.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Welterusten. Starters: Appel - Moeleker, Peereboom, Drummen, Bergwerff - Assauwer, van Delden, Valten, Kipperman - de Liefde, Wels.

After a fine move down the middle M. van 't Hof nearly gave the home side a goal after 2 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Welterusten had to make a substitution after 16 minutes. J. Kipperman limped off the field and was replaced by Q. van Domburg. L. Pasveer caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 22 minutes. This gave L3g3nds the 1 - 0 lead. L3g3nds's L. Pasveer increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 32 minutes. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. L3g3nds claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

T. Gentenaar should probably have put his team up another goal after 51 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Appel kept the visitors in the game. 52 minutes into the game Welterusten managed a counterattack, but T. de Liefde took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Welterusten breathed new life into the game with an opportunity to reduce the score after 52 minutes, but the home side's defenders cleared the ball on the line, after a long shot coming in from the left rebounded off the crossbar. E. van Swigchem was called on to replace Welterusten's D. Valten after 57 minutes following a nasty collision. With 61 minutes played, L3g3nds's L. Pasveer almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. L3g3nds's R. Goris saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 69 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to L3g3nds, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

T. Gentenaar performed admirably for L3g3nds. I. Andrijanić turned in a dismal performance, however. Welterusten's best player was T. Wels. L. Drummen on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
