Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
AFC Town saw a crowd turnout of 12000.
John Isakov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Abel Raizábal and
Ilario Mai.
Boys decided to use a 4-3-2 set up.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Boys.

S. Gloede-Lüdicke refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 41 minutes.

S. Gloede-Lüdicke came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Boys the lead.
With 43 minutes played, Boys put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
R. Toorenaer, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
C. Casaca almost put Boys ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1.
Boys enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Boys was able to get his message across, and raised Boys's organisation to
solid.
After 51 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Boys found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.

M. Artam put Boys ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
74 minutes into the game, Boys had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Boys to 5 - 1 as
L. Milano finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
After 87 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
O. Özsel might have resulted in another goal for Boys. However,
A. van der Holst made a spectacular save.

P. Blikman received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Boys's
S. Gloede-Lüdicke got himself booked for a foul.
