The 11449 spectators at master arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Bertrand Savin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ramón León Rodrigo and Célestin Afonso. A free kick aimed at the keeper's far post almost gave fc_atte the lead 15 minutes in, but the ball just wasn't able to squirm its way through the defensive wall. After 25 minutes, fc_atte put themselves up 0 - 1, as T. Hoving finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. fc_atte's B. Oldenbeuving showed his experience after 34 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. It was 0 - 1 at the break. fc_atte claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

With 47 minutes played, fc.weert's B. Brasseur found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. J. Berkers's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. With 81 minutes played, after a good run down the left, B. Buitenkant went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. S. Siebenga came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over G. Bom but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. D. Favier wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. After 87 minutes, fc.weert's B. Buitenkant fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! fc_atte enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

B. Buitenkant performed admirably for fc.weert. D. Geerlings turned in a dismal performance, however. fc_atte's best player was D. Hoeneveld. However, M. Huiberts made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 1.
