Jedis 4 - 0 Tabanoka (390837759)

Clear skies welcomed the 63979 spectators who had made their way to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Birger Demonpion was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ivailo Paskov and Saivis Kaupe. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Jedis. Lineup: Lacalle Barahon - De Monte, Tévez, Walter - Mussolino, Ruiz Luque, Moro, Somma, Marchat - Berg, Kettunen.

Tabanoka started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Starters: Lédeczi - Frankenberger, Gergely, Barbarà, Loustau - Castorina, Sánchez, Baniher, Oleskow, Cardinaletti - Rafał.

Jedis were clearly looking ahead to the next match rather than focusing on the one at hand. For their match strategy, Tabanoka had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. 4 minutes into the game, S. Rafał almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to M. Somma, but the Jedis player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! F. Berg should probably have put his team up another goal after 23 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by Z. Lédeczi kept the visitors in the game. R. Mussolino had a fantastic opportunity to put Jedis up another goal 25 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Jedis, with 60 percent of the ball.

During the break, Jedis have had a conversation about the risk of taking this win for granted. At least some of the players should have taken this to heart as the referee signals the start of the second half. Jedis's C. Ruiz Luque placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but X. Moro couldn't finish. A lovely run by Jedis's M. Marchat left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Jedis's R. Mussolino increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Jedis scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for G. De Monte after 60 minutes. J. Cardinaletti nearly reduced the lead 68 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by Á. Lacalle Barahon prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. After 69 minutes, Jedis sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached P. Kettunen, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 4 - 0. After this, you could see that the players of Jedis were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. With 80 minutes played, F. Berg of Jedis fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Tabanoka needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 89 minutes R. Barbarà made way for D. Lopez. With 89 minutes played, the Tabanoka coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. R. Stolc came on, A. Loustau had to leave the fray. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Tabanoka's N. Sánchez was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. D. Kipling was given a chance to change things around. Possession in this half belonged to Jedis, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

Jedis's top performer was clearly F. Berg. However, R. Mussolino made a disastrous appearance. Tabanoka's best player was S. Rafał. R. Stolc turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
