It was obvious that Espartanos were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. C. Bricat of tecito was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish H. Karáth, which resulted in a goal making the score 0 - 1. At this time in the match, Espartanos were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. 24 minutes into the game, tecito seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid. Espartanos's H. Siviero had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 34 minutes having been played. W. Lacanau was the replacement. A. Heimgartner received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 36 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The tecito fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. H. Karáth didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. After 40 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for M. Fodor who increased tecito's lead to 0 - 3. By now, the players in tecito felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 41 minutes into the game, tecito seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to tecito, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

During the break, tecito's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. After a short break after 60 minutes, tecito seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. With the clock showing 64 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Espartanos resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by G. Sá Martins in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Espartanos needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes G. Lias made way for J. Guevara. A well placed corner kick from A. Balnanosis was followed by W. Bungsberg's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for tecito, the score now 0 - 4. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Espartanos's S. Quintana was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 69 minutes. H. Llorente was given a chance to change things around. 72 minutes into the match tecito's W. Bungsberg head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. Espartanos pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. tecito's E. Doktor left the field after 78 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was N. Pârvu. After 80 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as tecito found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. A superb free kick by Espartanos's A. Perceval after 87 minutes looked like it'd reduced the lead after it hit the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line, but to the fury of the home crowd the linesman missed it - no goal! tecito had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Espartanos's top performer was clearly H. Llorente. On the other hand, V. Troelsen's play was disheartening. The most dominating tecito player was without a doubt C. Bricat. S. Hönigl was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
