Clear skies welcomed the 42743 spectators who had made their way to Duffman Arena. Liviu Petrescu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Márcio Francioni and Elvis Laurītis. Duff decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Hernández Alba - Önem, Kauczor, Řípa - Kotrulev, Selçuk, Pérez, Shangin, Orsini - Pupa, Pierantozzi.

Pochos started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Kulka - Seger, Anderson, Donfrancesco - Viceconte, De Gavardo, Karásik, Vivoda, Ortasca - Sáenz López, Mendoza.

Pochos used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. After a fine move down the middle T. Pupa nearly gave the home side a goal after 2 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Pochos took the lead 21 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. L. Donfrancesco was the scorer. The corner kick from M. Shangin was powerfully met by the head of V. Kotrulev to make the score 1 - 1. At 31 minutes played, M. Pierantozzi came in from the right with the intention of giving Duff the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. Pochos's J. De Gavardo refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 32 minutes. Duff took the lead after 34 minutes as a result of G. Orsini's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Duff enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

With 50 minutes played, Duff's M. Řípa almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. It was obvious that team Pochos had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. The visitors didn't give in and, after 56 minutes, A. Ortasca got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. Duff broke through on the left 74 minutes into the game, with G. Orsini firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 3 - 2 lead. The crowd was silenced 75 minutes into the match as the visiting team's I. Mendoza came in from the left, levelling the score to 3 - 3. Duff took the lead 76 minutes into the game by 4 - 3, as B. Önem elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Pochos's I. Seger got himself booked for a foul. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Duff, as M. Shangin left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. D. Hirmann took his place on the field. G. Orsini was handed the Duff captain's armband. Possession in this half belonged to Duff, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

Duff's best player was T. Pupa. D. Hirmann was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Pochos player was without a doubt P. Sáenz López. M. Anderson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 3.
