The 28106 fans in attendance at Ciudad de Remedios de Escalada were roasting in the hot sun. Frédéric Hain was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Enzo Baysinger and Wouter-Jan Beringer. All of Provincia de Buenos Aires was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. GAD-FC decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. JUV had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Dinauanao - Agterberg, van Deutekom, Errembault - Orjuela, Giovagnoli, Nin Lavalleja, Eberhartinger, Stievano - Peppinck, Baubel'.

JUV's S. Agterberg was shown a yellow card after 14 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 24 minutes into the game, A. Eberhartinger had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Some great play up the middle by GAD-FC led to a chance for A. Harkat to score after 25 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. JUV's I. van Deutekom gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 35 minutes with a superb strike from the right. A. Eberhartinger of JUV received a yellow card after 36 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by JUV, with 53 percent of the ball.

After 60 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Baubel' a chance to increase the lead for JUV, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of JUV lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. J. Orjuela received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 67 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The JUV fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. With the scoreboard showing that 76 minutes had been played, JUV nearly put themselves up another goal after I. van Deutekom came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Possession in this half belonged to JUV, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

S. Šamec performed admirably for GAD-FC. W. Trindade turned in a dismal performance, however. JUV's top performer was clearly M. Baubel'. On the other hand, B. Dinauanao's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 3.
