Ozeri came close to levelling the score after 22 minutes with a free kick that went just wide of the top left corner. H. Sabetta's curling free kick almost found the goal for MECHA, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to MECHA, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

As the game started to slip away for Funebrero, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. MECHA's G. Hundertwasser swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. 61 minutes into the game, T. Kenttälä had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury.
