Pelados 1 - 5 Carajenes!
(390869492)

22-07-2012 22.00
Clouds darkened the skies at
Gustavo Casartelli as 25089 spectators turned up for the match.
Knut Myhren was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Martí Ardite and
Marcos Parejo.
Pelados decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Carreras - Videla, Donners, Espino - Grzeszczak, Tàpia, Citardus, Ottana, Sieraal - Destefano, Rząsa.
Carajenes! started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Robin - Peñafiel, Rosdahl, Bonneau - Geeshink, Alfonsín, Fiore, Berti, Boseyur - Beltrán, Escudero.
Pelados used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
F. Bonneau stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving Carajenes! the goal to make it 0 - 1.
The referee showed Carajenes!'s
J. Geeshink the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
After 39 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
K. Rosdahl a chance to increase the lead for Carajenes!, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
Pelados's
M. Donners got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 2.
E. Escudero of Carajenes! took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 43 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 3.
43 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as
S. Beltrán finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 4.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Carajenes!, with 57 percent of the ball.
The Carajenes! players could smell victory in the air.
E. Alfonsín wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
J. Menendez after 52 minutes.
As
D. Espino had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Pelados player a red card without batting an eyelid.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 66 minute mark, Carajenes!'s
A. Fiore hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
The Carajenes! free kick 72 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
J. Geeshink, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 5!
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Carajenes! lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
Pelados's
S. Ottana got himself booked for a foul.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Pelados, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity.
Carajenes! claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
Most important Pelados player was
J. Rząsa.
W. Grzeszczak turned in a dismal performance, however.
Carajenes!'s top performer was clearly
S. Beltrán.
E. Boseyur was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 5.
