A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 30621 to
Carlos "Chacho" Alvarez.
Finn Langberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Peter Bryde Andersen and
Pablo Ibáñez.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Provincia de Buenos Aires derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
Chatuya decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
They fielded: Petre - Bidon, Teremi, Theunis, Lobato - Gandersheim, Tyas, Deltombe, Dornbach - Montabell, Nadolny.
Ramales tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Starters: Ham - Ruiz de Castilla, Pelozo, Fernández Azzato, Boubila - García de Segovia, Rocha, Montaperto, D'Abate - Sáinz Quintana, Clavaud.
Chatuya saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
With 15 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
C. Montabell flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
Chatuya were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
Chatuya put themselves up 2 - 0 when
B. Nadolny broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Chatuya solidified their lead at the 35 minute mark, as
J. Dornbach dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0.
Ramales's
I. Ruiz de Castilla got himself booked for a foul.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Chatuya's
C. Montabell increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
Halftime score was 4 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Chatuya, with 77 percent of the ball.
Chatuya's
C. Montabell had an excellent opportunity after 48 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
C. García de Segovia found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat.
Chatuya increased the lead as
J. Theunis struck to make the score 5 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Chatuya lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
K. Clavaud from Ramales a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 57 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
C. Montabell of Chatuya had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.
F. Vermaelen came in to finish the match.
F. Vermaelen increased the lead for Chatuya to 6 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
The score became 7 - 0 at 76 minutes into the game, when Chatuya were given a penalty which
W. Gandersheim blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance!
Chatuya's
R. Tyas increased the lead to 8 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 81 minutes.
Chatuya claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 79 percent.
Most important Chatuya player was
F. Vermaelen.
However,
J. Theunis made a disastrous appearance.
Ramales's top performer was clearly
F. Sáinz Quintana.
A. Fernández Azzato on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 8 - 0.
