Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to
Club universitario.
Vazul Együd was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ben Dehove and
Arie Noah.
FPT decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Zama - Dieringer, Pareja, Arrizabalaga, Pirchio - Villanueva, Buchon, Flanders, Pinciroli - Papa, Rojas.
Chascomús tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
Lineup: Sartanavičius - Dorożko, Carcer, Neira, Rosenberger - Salin, Trionfini, Dobies, Monea, Shin - Ellingsen.
Chascomús took the lead 14 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
Y. Shin was the scorer.
I. Pareja of FPT received a yellow card after 19 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
The visitors'
E. Trionfini took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 25 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Chascomús.
With 33 minutes gone, FPT's
I. Pareja had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
J. Salin was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 34 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
M. Monea of Chascomús took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 35 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3.
Chascomús increased their lead after 36 minutes when
M. Monea broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 4, much to the home crowd's dismay.
After this, you could see that the players of Chascomús were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4.
Chascomús had most of the ball, with 89 percent of possession.
47 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 5 as
J. Neira finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
FPT's
Á. Rojas got himself booked for a foul.
Unfortunately for Chascomús,
E. Trionfini was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
E. Lorber replaced him.
J. Salin increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6.
After 60 minutes, Chascomús's
K. Dobies burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7.
Chascomús's
M. Rosenberger was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 66 minutes.
With 68 minutes played, Chascomús's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
Y. Shin he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 8.
C. Carcer received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 71 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 9. The Chascomús fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Salin from Chascomús a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Possession in this half belonged to Chascomús, who controlled the ball 91 percent of the time.
Most important FPT player was
Á. Rojas.
G. Pirchio was a disappointment, however.
Chascomús's top performer was clearly
K. Dobies.
J. Neira on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 9.
