Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 26409 at El cajon de haedo today. Tommi Niemiaho was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jozua Hagendoorn and Radu Ionescu. People from all over Ciudad de Buenos Aires had joined up for the derby. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Chori. They fielded: Adamoli - Dubois, Brkan, Belén - García, Torreiro, Casini, Brasini, Cejas - Montaperto, Mazzola.

Barrio tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Lineup: Day - Anici, Gorozica, Aybay, Cassano - Tinelli, Gallardo, Mas, Esgaib - Velazquez, Papic.

The referee showed Barrio's G. Anici the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The player down was E. Casini. The Chori bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. With 18 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. J. Tinelli put the ball away for 0 - 1. On any other day, A. Montaperto's free kick would have found the back of the net to tie the game for Chori, but not today - the visitors' keeper displayed extraordinary reflexes as he blocked the shot harmlessly to the side. F. Torreiro behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 26 minutes as he gave the ball away to J. Gallardo. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Chori's F. Torreiro put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 34 minutes, but the ball went wide. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Chori, with 57 percent of the ball.

After 55 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave T. Velazquez a chance to increase the lead for Barrio, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Barrio lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. With 86 minutes played, Barrio put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was G. Anici. Barrio's D. Papic made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 87 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Some fine movement on the left led to a Barrio goal after 89 minutes, making it 0 - 4. D. Cassano was noted down as the scorer. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when R. Dubois scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 4. Chori had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

E. Casini performed admirably for Chori. On the other hand, S. García's play was disheartening. Most important Barrio player was F. Mas. H. Esgaib turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
