(390904233)

19-08-2012 22.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 11260 to
Altos Gatos F.C. Arena.
Ismael Menjibar was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rasmus Agger Pedersen and
Per-Erik Johansson.
Altos tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Cerono - Echaniz, Garnier, Musladini, Alé - Oroná, Rodríguez, Palavecino, Coirini - Yoo, Bidal.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for DRAGON.
The following players took the field: Lindhart - Navarro Montoya, Villasante, Bortz - Melkert, Olofsson, Leroux, Valdero, Nienartowicz - Staffico, Canal.
At the beginning of the game, DRAGON appeared to have already taken this victory to the bank.
DRAGON used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of DRAGON's
I. Navarro Montoya after 2 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
The visitors'
H. Melkert took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 12 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for DRAGON.
With 15 minutes played,
I. Navarro Montoya of DRAGON fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
DRAGON players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
J. Valdero received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 19 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The DRAGON fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
DRAGON were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
After 26 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
M. Leroux who increased DRAGON's lead to 0 - 4.
By now, the players in DRAGON felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
After 38 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
P. Canal a chance to increase the lead for DRAGON, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 5.
0 - 5 was the score after the first half.
DRAGON had most of the ball, with 93 percent of possession.
After 47 minutes, DRAGON sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
O. Staffico, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 6.
51 minutes in, Altos's
J. Oroná received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
After 54 minutes, DRAGON's
I. Navarro Montoya burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7.
H. Melkert increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 8.
The home crowd was not impressed when
P. Canal came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 61 minutes. DRAGON were now up 0 - 9.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by DRAGON, with 95 percent of the ball.
Altos's best player was
D. Yoo.
However,
E. Rodríguez made a disastrous appearance.
A. Villasante performed admirably for DRAGON.
On the other hand,
N. Lindhart's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 9.
