FFC 2 - 3 Cessarini
(390911832)

22-07-2012 22.00
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 33458 at
ESTADIO TRICOLOR today.
Karlludwig Schabenberger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Luis Steinwender and
Antonio Llera.
FFC had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Starters: Krawczyk - Dopazo, Zaporozhets, Corsaro, Virto - Ciborski, Renaudineau, Ecehan, Kinney - Tabanera, Marcucci.
Cessarini started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Ducca - Pievaitis, Mãlãescu, Ruiz Melendez - Radberg, Nimrodi, Torroja, Paolucci, Albretch - Geervliet, López.
FFC saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Cessarini seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
The most controversial moment of the game was likely the penalty given after 9 minutes. Cessarini's
P. Geervliet kept his concentration, despite the upset crowd, and calmly put the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1.
With the scoreboard showing that 17 minutes had been played, Cessarini nearly put themselves up another goal after
E. Ruiz Melendez came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
M. Paolucci was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 30 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
R. Nimrodi received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 35 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Cessarini fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
FFC supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to
L. Zaporozhets who reduced the visitors' lead after 36 minutes to 1 - 2.
1 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Cessarini enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
With 46 minutes played, the FFC coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
J. Oroví came on,
S. Renaudineau had to leave the fray.
With 54 minutes having been played, FFC scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but
J. Oroví was marked down as the scorer.
60 minutes into the game, FFC wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
L. Zaporozhets gave
E. Gilijamse a quick hug as he left the field.
The visitors could have taken the lead from a free kick after 61 minutes, if it wasn't for the jaw-dropping save by
C. Krawczyk.
Cessarini took the lead 71 minutes into the game, making the score 2 - 3 after some elegant movement down the middle.
P. Geervliet was the scorer.
The Cessarini players could smell victory in the air.
P. Geervliet wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
S. Pini after 71 minutes.
Cessarini had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.
A. Tabanera performed admirably for FFC.
A. Corsaro was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Cessarini player was without a doubt
J. Torroja.
O. Ducca on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 3.
