Chilavert's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 39 minutes. 40 minutes in, arandurogagnc's M. Michel received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MARTIN, with 59 percent of the ball.

Some great play up the middle by MARTIN led to a chance for F. Chilavert to score after 47 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. That was far too lenient! MARTIN were very close to putting themselves one up after 67 minutes as E. Torsson got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. MARTIN's E. Torsson left the field after 70 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was I. Rizov. R. Massidda's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for L. De Falco. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. MARTIN's N. De Stoop soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the corner home 79 minutes into the match. arandurogagnc's L. De Falco could have put the guests one up after 80 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but C. Sacco was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Down the middle came M. Michel, making a fantastic play that nearly had arandurogagnc take the lead after 82 minutes, but C. Sacco preserved the tie. MARTIN had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

MARTIN's top performer was clearly N. De Stoop. However, I. Rizov made a disastrous appearance. L. De Falco performed admirably for arandurogagnc. F. Arra turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
