previous 8/10 next 10/10  caprese 2 - 3 PeLuKaTeAm (390926952)

It had rained all day, but 17168 hardy fans still made it out to capresera. Tom Hordvik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Adrián Lluesma and Doug Pfeifer. caprese started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Gehér - Pintos, López Romero, Wakefield, Bulba - Valda, Nath, Bognetti - Hatserian, Foi, Lizarazu.

PeLuKaTeAm tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Zicchieri - Salazar, Rosenthal, Lasarte, Yupanqui - Cadorna, Romano, Łapkiewicz, Fernández - Zoppi, Serio.

A. Hatserian slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Making his way up the middle 36 minutes into the match, S. Foi almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert I. Zicchieri blocked it to keep the score level. F. Cadorna didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. Many thought A. Bognetti ought to have been awarded a penalty 38 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around I. Zicchieri after a determined run through the middle. caprese's N. Nath had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 39 minutes having been played. D. Jacobsen was the replacement. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to F. Lizarazu, but the caprese player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! After 43 minutes PeLuKaTeAm's L. Rosenthal contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. After 44 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and A. Hatserian gave the caprese supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. caprese had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

The visitors' right side was dangerous today; G. Serio made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 56 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, A. Hatserian could have extended the lead, but his powerful free kick went just over the bar. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like I. Zoppi. After 79 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after J. Romano made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2. The guests took the lead 82 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in G. Serio scoring to make it 2 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to PeLuKaTeAm, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

caprese's top performer was clearly S. Foi. L. Wakefield turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating PeLuKaTeAm player was without a doubt G. Serio. I. Zoppi on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
