previous 3/10 next 5/10  Rachel 3 - 0 FaKs (390951598)

7652 spectators had come to El Templo Alberdi this cloudy day. Rodhan Wilmot was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Wilhelm Gurschler and Eric Carrillo. Rachel decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Fiad - Datti, Lillo, Dailydėnas, Pereira - Çağlı, Bifano, Guallini, Teixeira - Bertozzi, Laslo.

FaKs started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Zorita - Pearson, Sarría, Marcuz, Beltsov - Omeñaca, Clementz, De Croce, Spadavecchia - Astudillo, Rodríguez.

J. Bertozzi of Rachel was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish M. Marcuz, which resulted in a goal making the score 1 - 0. J. Bertozzi had a fantastic opportunity to put Rachel up another goal 22 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Rachel put themselves up 2 - 0 when P. Guallini broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. By now, the players in Rachel felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Rachel scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Dailydėnas after 34 minutes. Rachel's J. Bertozzi refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 39 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Rachel enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

The home side's L. Bifano came close to extending the lead 55 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but C. Zorita managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. B. Çağlı of Rachel received a yellow card after 67 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. O. Sarría behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 78 minutes as he gave the ball away to J. Bertozzi. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Coming from the right, J. Bertozzi almost managed to score another goal for Rachel, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. E. Capparelli was called on to replace Rachel's L. Bifano after 86 minutes following a nasty collision. Rachel claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

The most dominating Rachel player was without a doubt S. Laslo. On the other hand, R. Lillo's play was disheartening. H. Rodríguez performed admirably for FaKs. However, C. Zorita made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 0.
