14000 spectators arrived at F.C. KAITAS ARENA, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Khaleel El-Sa'eed was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Constancio Ortega and José Eduardo Barone. KAITAS decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. It was obvious that KAITAS were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. Madryn used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. The visiting F. Suárez was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 15 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. KAITAS pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. KAITAS tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. Madryn came close to extending their lead as F. Suárez delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 36 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 38 minutes gave KAITAS a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and A. van der Well stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 The referee showed KAITAS's A. van der Well the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Madryn claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

KAITAS had a chance to take the lead after I. Redzkin's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 53 minutes. After 60 minutes, the Madryn coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving I. Tasca off the field. P. Saravia took his place. A free kick aimed at the keeper's far post almost gave Madryn the lead 65 minutes in, but the ball just wasn't able to squirm its way through the defensive wall. 75 minutes into the game, KAITAS wanted to bring some new energy to their game. D. Piela gave M. Díaz a quick hug as he left the field. J. Wuttig would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. H. Dönmezer entered the game for KAITAS as the match clock showed 75 minutes. KAITAS's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. Possession in this half belonged to KAITAS, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

KAITAS's top performer was clearly C. Genovè. H. Dönmezer on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Madryn player was without a doubt E. Gómez. However, P. Saravia made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
