Lecciolino suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Xela had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

Xela increased the lead as K. Kirtzel struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Hetaroi's R. Windschuegl was shown a yellow card after 50 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, F. Bailey of Xela spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. R.
