A scorching day at Cancha Carlos Mahns, where 42731 spectators were in place for today's match. Mirko Rosetti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pieter Willing and Lars ''Frafen'' Vinmo. Paperos tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 19 minutes, Colo did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, S. Keller was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 1. They were singing the praises of V. Faarinen 28 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Paperos. A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 29 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting Colo a penalty. A. Giermasiński knocked it home. 2 - 2 With 36 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 3 - 2 lead as F. Răducu flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. T. Galidakis's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. Paperos put themselves up 4 - 2 when E. Muñoz broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A spectacular volley from M. Kivinen almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and O. Tupi could only knock the loose ball wide. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 43 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but J. Romano got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. It was 4 - 2 at the break. Paperos had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

After 53 minutes, G. Bolognesi put Paperos ahead 5 - 2 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. J. Parra could have put Paperos up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 66 minutes. 67 minutes in, H. Reardon made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but S. Angiulli refused to let the ball slip by him. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. B. Mekcsey squirmed through their central defence after 72 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 2. By now, the players in Paperos felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The home side's J. Parra came close to extending the lead 85 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but J. Romano managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Possession in this half belonged to Paperos, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

Most important Paperos player was J. Parra. On the other hand, G. Bolognesi's play was disheartening. D. Meijerink performed admirably for Colo. However, O. Tupi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 2.
