Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 30945 at Bajo El Mar today. Hakký Çanga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Carsten Rappensperger and David Vegesack. ME.FC. broke through on the left 3 minutes into the game, with S. Esslingen firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. 9 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Fonallar broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for ME.FC.. S. Esslingen of ME.FC. was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 20 minutes, ME.FC. sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached J. Rey, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 3 - 0. ME.FC. solidified their lead at the 22 minute mark, as L. Povlsen dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. CARE's D. Tapia was shown a yellow card after 30 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Things were deteriorating for the away team as ME.FC. scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for L. Povlsen after 33 minutes. After this, you could see that the players of ME.FC. were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ME.FC., with 58 percent of the ball.

With 50 minutes played, ME.FC. put themselves up 6 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to L. Povlsen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for L. Povlsen. ME.FC.'s R. Srour got himself booked for a foul. ME.FC.'s L. Povlsen increased the lead to 7 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 64 minutes. ME.FC. increased the lead as M. Pateau struck to make the score 8 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After 77 minutes, A. Fonallar put ME.FC. ahead 9 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave E. Dinarte from CARE a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 82 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! There was concern in the stands when, at the 85 minute mark, CARE's I. Dias Soares hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. ME.FC. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

ME.FC.'s best player was L. Povlsen. A. Fonallar was a disappointment, however. M. Arroyo performed admirably for CARE. On the other hand, E. Dinarte's play was disheartening. The match ends 10 - 0.
