Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Ryonan´s Gym saw a crowd turnout of 18785. Sybren Timmer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Oskars Ozols and Jean-Luc Plantier-Royon. Ryonan had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. ADX tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Klein - Moorehouse, Nessler, de Ávila - Herrenwyk, Cardinaletti, Palmi, Nardini - Inkala, Batalha, Castro Lima.

For their match strategy, Ryonan had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. ADX mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. A quick counter attack by Ryonan forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick. T. Alçiçek was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 1 - 0! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Sainton from Ryonan a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 18 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! J. Nessler was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so ADX's T. Sperlich had to come off the bench. K. Klein was handed the ADX captain's armband. It was 1 - 0 at the break. ADX had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.

H. Trebrune was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by F. Schreurs, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. ADX were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for ADX, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. 60 minutes into the game, F. Schreurs finished off a Ryonan left wing counterattack, making the score 2 - 0. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Ryonan lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 72 minutes Ryonan's G. Tiscione limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as T. Sperlich struck home, set up well by a play on the left 78 minutes into the match. ADX enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 80 percent of possession.

Ryonan's best player was E. Ciardone. S. Caprio on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating ADX player was without a doubt R. Cardinaletti. H. Inkala turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
