After a scuffle in the guests' penalty area 32 minutes into the game, the home team was awarded a penalty. D. Venegas scored to make it 1 - 1. After 33 minutes, S. Šabanović came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Ovalle the lead. Ovalle's K. Garbe got himself booked for a foul. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Ovalle, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

The Ovalle players could smell victory in the air. R. Borge wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for S. Fahundez after 46 minutes. Ovalle solidified their lead at the 55 minute mark, as R. Jaklin dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. Ovalle's R. Ghislain's experience almost gave Gastarinis a goal after 86 minutes but the keeper made a great save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ovalle, with 56 percent of the ball.

Most important Ovalle player was S. Šabanović. V. Martin was a disappointment, however. D. Ovvia performed admirably for Gastarinis. M. Maciá turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
