previous 7/10 next 9/10  Ramon 4 - 0 suderlan (391461070)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 46505 had shown up at Moncho Arena for the match. Mirko Camaggi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Peter Duven and Jani Finskas. Ramon had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation. Starters: Chavarría - Quesada, Bolaños, 康华 (Kanghua) , Acevedo, Hidalgo - Matamoros, Campos, García, Jenkins - Ortíz.

suderlan started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Henales - Zehme, Grò, Droux, Greenald - Reyes, Massart, Orgad, Roche - Mamica, Quililongo.

The wings were the focus of most of Ramon's attacks today. suderlan used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. Ramon were awarded a penalty after 11 minutes of play, but M. García's shot skimmed just wide. With 30 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as D. Campos flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. A great save by keeper D. Henales after 32 minutes kept the visitors in the game after D. Campos struck from the left with a real cannonball. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Ramon, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

It was obvious that Ramon had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. Ramon put themselves up 2 - 0 when F. Matamoros broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Ramon's M. García somehow missed a penalty 59 minutes into the match, much to the crowd's displeasure. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Ramon's F. Matamoros somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for E. Ortíz, who struck for 3 - 0. The referee showed suderlan's D. Mamica the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In a fantastic display of determination, Ramon's M. Bolaños forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. After 83 minutes, D. Campos put Ramon ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Ramon enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

E. Ortíz performed admirably for Ramon. E. Hidalgo turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating suderlan player was without a doubt V. Droux. R. Greenald was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
