Dark skies made the crowd of 57420 at The Wooded Field a little nervous, but the rain held off. Jordi Asensi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dinu Hutan and János Bikácsy. S. Drapeau had a good opportunity to give GKS-V the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 37 minutes into the match, and G. Hulsker wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Moffat, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

Moffat needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes M. Milenković made way for L. Locke. After 65 minutes, Moffat switched M. Sandid with S. Ruel, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. S. Ruel became the new Moffat captain. After 65 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed A. Leo to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. After 68 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Bellomo a chance to increase the lead for GKS-V, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as O. Ben-David tried lifting the ball over keeper M. Lockhart. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Moffat's É. Fallourd was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 72 minutes. A. Famulski was given a chance to change things around. A drive down the left side allowed E. Plouffe to get in close and score another goal for GKS-V after 75 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4. A marvellous Moffat effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 78 minutes by A. Famulski, making the score 1 - 4. Moffat had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Moffat's top performer was clearly S. Ruel. Z. Gwioździk on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important GKS-V player was E. Plouffe. M. Menero turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
