Nordiques were very close to putting themselves one up after 7 minutes as A. Beckwith
got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Nordiques caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 24 minutes into the match. H. Zadok
was able to finish off the move - 1 - 0.
Nordiques were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 27 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by L. Gow jen
. 2 - 0 for the home side.
Nordiques's L. Gow jen
struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 3 - 0 after 29 minutes.
L. Gow jen
increased Nordiques's lead to 4 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball.
At that, L. Gow jen
was noted down for a hat trick!
The players of Nordiques now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.

curled a free kick home after 33 minutes, putting Nordiques ahead 5 - 0.
Halftime score was 5 - 0.
Nordiques claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.
The away team improved the scoreline to 5 - 1, as J. Roby
struck home, set up well by a play on the left 47 minutes into the match.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Perdikoglou
got himself booked. The manager of Pioneers was not happy.
L. Gow jen
could have increased the lead after 70 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Pioneers counterattack from the left after 71 minutes. His neat finish made the score 5 - 2.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors. K. Fletcher
squirmed through their central defence after 78 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 2.
Nordiques had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.
The most dominating Nordiques player was without a doubt S. Homan
was a disappointment, however.
Pioneers's best player was S. Désilets
However, B. Pineault
made a disastrous appearance.
