This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when G. Lustosa slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against A. Damato, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to M. Aizawa, but the Lenhadores player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by T. Martinelli. At last, Arsênio's I. Glockner was able to backheel the ball in. 2 - 2. P. Mendataurigoitia was called on to replace Arsênio's L. Pierik after 42 minutes following a nasty collision. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Arsênio claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

L. Kreiner had a good try after 61 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Arsênio's P. Mendataurigoitia was shown a yellow card after 67 minutes for slicing down an opponent. P. Zawyjło was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Lenhadores's A. Babiano had to come off the bench. 75 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Lenhadores substitution. R. Guaraes came on for M. Aizawa. After 79 minutes, A. Assini came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Lenhadores the lead. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. La Barbera from Lenhadores a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Lenhadores's D. Chaves refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 82 minutes. S. Van Cauwelaert's curling free kick almost found the goal for Lenhadores, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. Arsênio had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

The most dominating Lenhadores player was without a doubt N. Lanotte. A. Damato turned in a dismal performance, however. G. Lustosa performed admirably for Arsênio. P. Mendataurigoitia on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 2.
