The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 47077 had shown up at VASCO.W FC Arena for the match. Iuliu Zãvoianu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Milan Bezucha and Krystian Nożyński. VASCO.W had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for VASCO.W. Exílio were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Exílio's O. Durgun could have put the guests one up after 9 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but A. Sá was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. Coming in from the right, VASCO.W had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 10 minutes, but B. Kłusek's attempt to finish was easily stopped. The referee showed VASCO.W's R. Cayatopa the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A. Cabrão knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 0 - 1 after 27 minutes. VASCO.W's T. Ben Nasser was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 28 minutes. The head of E. Pagodeiro connected with a corner kick after 34 minutes, and the ball ended up with R. Cayatopa of VASCO.W who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 1 - 1. Exílio took the lead after 41 minutes making the score 1 - 2. B. Pérez placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Exílio increased their lead after 43 minutes when L. De Meo broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay. J. Dzieńkowski received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 44 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 4. The Exílio fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 44 minutes, Exílio sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached S. Tupi, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 5. It was 1 - 5 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Exílio, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

50 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 6 as A. Aschenbrenner finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 58 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave O. Durgun a chance to increase the lead for Exílio, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 7. After this, you could see that the players of Exílio were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 59 minutes into the match, J. Dzieńkowski came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Exílio, with 66 percent of the ball.

VASCO.W's top performer was clearly C. Lamfré. F. Tinfena turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Exílio player was without a doubt L. van der Tuin. T. Odewald was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 7.
