A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Norte's J. Índio increasing the lead to 6 - 0. R. Artigas of Norte was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Norte to 7 - 0 as O. Barriga Verde finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. At that, O. Barriga Verde was noted down for a hat trick! Attacking on the wings was the choice for Norte, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Norte put themselves up 8 - 0 when J. Índio broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Norte enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 95 percent of possession.
