FLAusto were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Today, Forever's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Forever's H. Carioca was shown a yellow card after 28 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 38 minutes into the match, Forever nearly took the lead, as G. Coniglio broke through on the right. G. Verkerken made the save, however. FLAusto had a chance to take the lead after P. Bandi's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 39 minutes. FLAusto's J. Enger finished emphatically to make the score 1 -0 after 40 minutes, after the enigmatic A. Kahriman pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. A crazy pass by S. Reinamo towards his own keeper almost caused a goal for Forever, but R. Grøndalen didn't get the finish right. Always quick and a menace to his opponents, N. Joelsson was very close to getting through after 44 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. A. Kahriman increased the lead for FLAusto to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 44 minutes in, FLAusto's N. Joelsson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

FLAusto's N. Joelsson increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 55 minutes. It was obvious that Forever had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. The FLAusto players could smell victory in the air. J. Enger wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for M. Cooman after 70 minutes. 70 minutes into the game, Forever's attack got through on the right, but J. de Andrade couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Coniglio from Forever a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 76 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 78 minutes, Forever switched G. Vizcaino with A. Ariranha, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. FLAusto claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

T. Tadulala performed admirably for FLAusto. Q. Alcantara on the other hand, had a terrible day. Forever's top performer was clearly K. Horosz. However, A. Ariranha made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 0.
