Due to an all-day shower, 31628 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Dalian Stadium. Mario Luongo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thor Tjøsvoll and Mischa Richli. People from all over São Paulo had joined up for the derby. Dalian started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. With 34 minutes played, Dalian put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to A. Baramuli, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 39 minutes into the game, A. Oroeta had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came E. Almanzora. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Freguesia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

The visitors' right side was dangerous today; C. Ulicki made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 64 minutes into the match. Dalian were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 86 minutes, A. Baramuli swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 3 - 1. Pötzschner after 88 minutes following a nasty collision. Freguesia were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 89 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to C. Taverniti, who smashed it home to make the score 3 - 2. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like C. Taverniti. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Dalian scored another to make it 4 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Baramuli after 89 minutes. By then A. Baramuli had scored three goals - a hat trick! 89 minutes in, S. Vijulie made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but G. Marx refused to let the ball slip by him. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Freguesia, with 57 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Dalian player was without a doubt R. Heistad. M. Forcades turned in a dismal performance, however. Freguesia's top performer was clearly C. Ulicki. On the other hand, S. Vijulie's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 2.
