The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 12000 had shown up at Toca do Morcego for the match. Mario Vervaecke was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Reg Kirkpatrick and Edward Śwircz. Morcego had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation. Starters: Petraglia - Forjaz, Lago - Costa Manso, Botelho, Nakane, Freitas Reis, Costa Souza - Hachmo, Bueno, Pigó.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Ukranius. The following players took the field: Pires - Canci, Barcellos, Silva Souto, Cunha Veiga - Itararé, Tambor, Barboza da Silva, Velloso - Goulart, Gatti.

The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to B. Pigó, but the Morcego player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Morcego solidified their lead at the 8 minute mark, as A. Botelho dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Confident in their lead, Morcego's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Ukranius's opponents know to be wary of P. Gatti's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 24 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! A. Hachmo was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Morcego's A. Botelho managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 3 - 0 Cheers filled the stadium as L. Nakane broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Morcego. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Morcego scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for P. Costa Manso after 38 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Morcego, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

After 60 minutes, J. Forjaz sent the corner kick right to L. Nakane who headed it sharply past the keeper. 6 - 0! A. Botelho had a fantastic opportunity to put Morcego up another goal 67 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Ukranius's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! H. Canci's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. It might be a while before the fans see Ukranius's J. Tambor again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 77 minute mark. He was replaced by B. da Costa. Morcego's A. Botelho was shown a yellow card after 83 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Ukranius were forced into a substitution as C. Barboza da Silva couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing A. Dias Hydalgo to come in off the bench. Morcego put themselves up 7 - 0 when B. Pigó broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. 86 minutes into the game, Morcego were awarded a penalty that J. Forjaz turned into 8 - 0 without a problem. Morcego's I. Freitas Reis increased the lead to 9 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 88 minutes. Coming from the right, R. Bueno almost managed to score another goal for Morcego, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Morcego enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

Most important Morcego player was R. Bueno. P. Petraglia on the other hand, had a terrible day. Ukranius's best player was P. Gatti. B. da Costa turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 9 - 0.
