It had rained all day, but 24578 hardy fans still made it out to Arena FZEA. Itzik Ariel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Werner Franke and Ant Alınç. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this São Paulo derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. FZEA decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. By now, the players in FZEA felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Coming in on the left, H. Coelho Neto did everything right to get a goal for Do40 after 89 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. FZEA had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
