FZEA 5 - 0 Do40
(391614758)

30-07-2012 00.00
It had rained all day, but 24578 hardy fans still made it out to
Arena FZEA.
Itzik Ariel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Werner Franke and
Ant Alınç.
Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this
São Paulo derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents.
FZEA decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Boncompagni - Viscardi, Niterói, Peixoto, Tomé, Höker - Paclík, Dal Borgo, Castellet - Samanen, Celić.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Do40.
Lineup: Gatiņš - Papero, Oviedo Díaz, Cordona - Cordeiro, Coelho Neto, Casanova, da Guia, Evangelista - Berretta, Itajubense.
Do40 mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
D. Viscardi scored for FZEA putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 2 minutes.
Coming from the right,
J. Dal Borgo almost managed to score another goal for FZEA, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
With 15 minutes played, FZEA put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
M. Paclík, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
25 minutes into the game,
R. Tomé had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
J. Jones.
The FZEA free kick 27 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
R. Peixoto, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 0!
The rain made it hard for players like
R. Peixoto to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in FZEA's
S. Samanen increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
The referee showed FZEA's
L. Höker the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
It was 4 - 0 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to FZEA, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
S. Casanova of Do40 received a yellow card after 61 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
T. Celić had a fantastic opportunity to put FZEA up another goal 81 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
With 82 minutes played,
H. Coelho Neto of Do40 fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Thighs bulging,
A. Castellet charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain.
88 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
S. Samanen broke through, making the score 5 - 0 for FZEA.
By now, the players in FZEA felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Coming in on the left,
H. Coelho Neto did everything right to get a goal for Do40 after 89 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper.
FZEA had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
R. Peixoto performed admirably for FZEA.
However,
J. Jones made a disastrous appearance.
Do40's best player was
J. Itajubense.
On the other hand,
S. Casanova's play was disheartening.
The match ends 5 - 0.
